PIOTR SOMMER – Workshop on creative wrtiting about contemporary art

We invite you to a workshop on creative writing about contemporary art held by Piotr Sommer
– Arsenal Gallery ul. Mickiewicza 2, 21 March 2013,  15.00 – 19.00

All those interested in contemporary art and art critic are welcomed to participate in the workshop. The workshop will be composed of two parts: the first constitutes independent work (you should write a text) and send it until 12 March 2013, 11.00 to the following address: m.godlewska@galeria-arsenal.pl or s.kochaniec23@gmail.com. Consequently, the texts will be sent to Piotr Sommer, who will evaluate them, and send the analysis directly to their authors.

Piotr Sommer– poet, translator of the contemporary English-language poetry, editor-in-chief of 'Literatura na Świecie'. He has published several dozen of poetry books ,Dni i noce' (2010, Days and Nights), 'Wiersze ze słów' (2012, Poems of Words), selected poems 'Rano na ziemi' (2009, Morning on Earth), as well as two volumes of literary sketches: 'Smak detalu' (1995, A Taste for Detail) and 'Po stykach' (2005, Contact Lines) — and many translations. He also translated, among other things, John Ashbery, John Berryman, John Cage, D.J. Enright, Seamus Heaney, Robert Lowell, Frank O’Hara, Charles Reznikoff.
