Performance Arsenał

Performace Arsenał is a project organized in June 2014 by Galeria Arsenal in Bialystok. It includes performances realized by young artists from Poland and Ukraine. The main objective of the project is to promote Polish and Ukrainian performance artists. We would like to stimulate an interest of students and graduates from Art Academies in the art of young artist, who are just at the beginning of their creative path. We hope to create a dialogue in the field of art, beyond economic and political conditions, which applies mostly to the younger generation. We would also like to deepen the cooperation process between Polish and Ukrainian artistic circle, strenghten cultural exchange, have a positive influence on these two countries, integrate artists from Poland and Ukraine. We would like this event to become a pretext for consideration and reflection on the role and place of art in both countries. This joint project, which will be realized in such a difficult current situation of Ukraine, will be also a symbolic proof of solidarity in the struggle for human rights and civil liberties of our Eastern neighbour.
