JACEK BIELEŃSKI

…doesn’t look like much. Poet, writer, scrpitwriter. Author of „Cheap money” with Linda, „Dentist, sadist”, the creator of „Pink freaks” and „Visibility cape” – artistic manifestation which included, among others, Ultra Violet (Andy Warhol’s wife) Emilie Benes-Brzeziński, Jurek Owsiak and many others. Great-grandson of a Napoleon’s army general, grandson of pre-war Łódź vice-president, son of a model and journalist. “Skrzynecki from Łódź”, “Grzesiuk from Piotrkowska”, “Prince of the Night”. Constantly surprises the viewers with his image.

PLASTIC BAG group was created when he got the news of Jerzy Kosiński’s death, his mother’s friend, author of „The Painted Bird”.

PLASTIC BAG consists of post-modern, expressive texts about Łódź in very avant-garde arrangements by such masters as: Włodzimierz Kiniorski, Antoni Ziut Gralak, Andrzej Rajski, Jerzy Mazzoll, Mateo Pospieszalski, Locko Richter, Tymon Tymański, Mikołaj Trzaska. The songs were performed by Bieleński with Jorgos Skolias, Justyna Steczkowska, Tomasz Stańko, Stanisław Sojka, Wojciech Waglewski.

In Białystok, Plastic Bag and Jacek Bieleński have already performed in Metro, Lalki, Kawiarnia Ratusz and Studio Kino, but the last time was 9 years ago (in 1998) on the Music Scene at the 45th Birthday of the Białostocki Teatr Lalek.

Still actove, highly respected by the seeking/demanding portion of public, which he never ceases to amaze.

On the Arsenal courtyard he performed his new and old (but rearranged) „hits” with Plastic Bag musicians, who normally play with Stanislaw Sojka:

Przemek Gregier – mandolin, guitars, effects; Mario Matysek – base guitar, double base, effects, and Kuba Sojka – percussion.

He also presented his latest films, documents and music videos, including „The Philosophers’ Cave”, „Shoes”, „Pavulon”, „Łódź Europeans”, „Łódź Sailors”.

Special effects, lighting and stage design: Rafał Matusik Design Workshop; soap bubbles, snow, lasers: Atmospheric Effects Workshop www.wytworniaefektow.pl; visuals: Maciej Zaniewski and DELTA; jugglers: raSex, Avalon and Ardor.

Roofing and sound: Mariusz Kuś; catering: Arsenal Restaurant and Alkierz Supraśl.

During the event the dance scene was taken care of by DJ Sashka www.audiosfera.net and DJ kbx.pl http://www.kbx.pl/.
