JANUSZ DEBIS – LIGHT. 1970 – 2010

JANUSZ DEBIS

Born in December 1, 1942 in Naujoji Vilnia by Vilnius. He graduated from Fine Art High School in Suprasl. Then, he graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in an atelier run by prof. Antoni Lyzwianski and prof. Aleksander Kobzdej. He obtained his diploma with honours in 1970

Since 1970 he has been working as a teacher of painting and drawing at the Fine Art High School in Suprasl. Since 1976 he has been working in a newly-established Institute of Architecture at the Bialystok University of Technology. In 1985 he was promoted to an Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw. Since 1990 he got promoted to a Professor and is a Chair of the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture at the Faculty of Architecture at the Bialystok University of Technology.

He works with oil painting and drawing.
