Belarusian perspectives
The aim of the exhibition is to present selected Belarusian artistic environments. We wanted to avoid transferring our standards and habits on Belarusian reality and matching the things we saw to our map of notions and likings. Therefore we asked Belarusian curators to choose the works. It is Lena Prents from Berlin who showed in Center for Contemporary Art Łaznia exhibition: “Minsk. Urban diary”, Artur Klinov, artist and editor of magazine of contemporary Belarusian art “pARTisan” and Tatiana Bembel – professional curator of contemporary art also living in Minsk. The perspective will be broader thanks to the contribution of performer and art historian Juras Barysevich and organizer of performance festival “Navinki” and artist Victor Petrov both of whom agreed to give a lecture about contemporary Belarusian art.
