During the meeting the artist will talk about his work and pratice as well as experiences of artist residency in Bialystok.

Oleksii Tovpyha
A visual artist and mathematician born in Kharkiv (Ukraine). In his media installations and contemporary photography works he studies emotional, psychological and quite personal things such as relations with shame, fears, memories of past love, historical and cultural inconvenience etc. He is interested in digital media and its influence on human relationships and behavior. Thus, he welcomes any interactions and use of other than visual kinds of perception.

In 2014-2015 he studied conceptual photography in PhotoCult, Kyiv (the group of Roman Pyatkovka). In 2016 he participated in science-art school in Kharkiv, Ukraine (organized by Ianina Prudenko and New Art School). He took part in several exhibitions in Ukraine and Russia (2015-2016). Oleksii is the winner of NonStopMedia VIII (the contest for young artists, Kharkiv, 2016).
