Artist in Residence: Zuzana Jakalová

The residency of a slovakian curator Zuzana Jakalová is organized in collaboration with the Brno House of Arts.Zuzana Jakalová is a curator and cultural manager; works as a curator at Display – Association for Research and Collective Practice along with Zbyněk Baladrán. During her stay at the Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok, she would like to know more about the concept of „Green Lungs of Poland“ and it´s multilayered connection (or contrasts) to the social and ethnical stratification of the region. What lead to establishing the concept? What were the conversations surrounging it, and what is the dicsourse now? How was it shaped by people in the region, and how has it shaped their lives since the 1980´s up till now?
