AIR Arsenal Gallery: Natalia Vatsadze

In July-August 2025, Georgian artist, activist and independent curator Natalia Vatsadze is a guest of the Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok as part of the gallery’s residency program ARTIST IN RESIDENCE.

Natalia Vatsadze is one of the founder and member of performing art Bouillon Group, based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Bouillon Group participated in many international exhibitions and art events, in particular Georgian Pavilion in Venice Biennial in 2013.

In Vatsadze’s mostly performative works the body is always in the centre. With cynical humor she questions and criticizes social, political and cultural processes accompanying the development of Georgia as an independent state in the last years. Based on research her works are connected to history, real stories, people, and places.
