We invite to music and sound workshop

Due to limited seats available, the entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Workshops will be carried out for 3 days, from 5 to 7 March 2014 between 17.00-19.00 at the Arsenal Gallery power station. It will be concluded with a concert-performance involving artists and the participants of the workshops. The concert will be held on 8 March. In spite of the term preceding the International Women's Day and the final result that will take place exactly on Women's Day, we do not invite only women to participate in the workshops,
We invite all those interested in contemporary art and those who find fulfillment in dialogue with contemporary art. 
 
 


Zorka Wollny is a visual artist. She is graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow where she finished  a PhD. She is also a junior lecturer at the Academy of Arts in Szczecin. She cooperates with the leading Polish modern art institutions: Zachęta Gallery, Museum of Art in Łódź, Wyspa Institute of Art and the Ujazdowski Castle. In 2007, she represented Poland at the European artists' exhibition in Brussels. She has twice held a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, and has won the Eugeniusz Geppert Award for her achievements in painting. In 2009 she was nominated to the Deutsche Bank Award for the best young artist, and was Artist of the Year of the Arteon art magazine in 2010. Her projects have been presented in Poland, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, Hungary and Canada. Apart from exhibitions, she has participated in musical (Audio Art Festival in Cracow) as well as theatrical events (International Ballet Meetings in Łódź, Malta Festival in Poznań).


Anna Szwajgier graduated music theory studies at the Academy of Music in Cracow. She gained experience during lectures focused on computer composition in the Electroacoustic Music Studio (under prof. Marek Chołoniewski supervision) and creating multimedia forms in the Intermedia Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She composed music for several film forms such as  „Żółtodzióbstwo”(2002), „Kotlet” (2005) and for the sound installation „Choroba morska” (2002). She cooperates with Zorka Wollny since 2004, they created projects as „Koncert na Wysokie Obcasy” (2004), „Concert for Landesmuseum” (2005) „Music from the White Cube” (2010), „Słopiewnie” (2010), „Przesilenie letnie” (2010), „Songs of the Sublime” (2011).
