ALEKSANDRA CZERNIAWSKA – I am a bit in Low Spirits by a Company of Pigeons – 50+ workshops

A series of 10 workshops under common title "I am a bit in Low Spirits by a Company of Pigeons" is a new proposal carried out within the frames of "Arsenal Playground".

They are mainly addressed at mature people, commonly referred to as 50+. However, it is not common for us to create stereotypes which make a division between gender, age or other specific signs of our guests. Therefore, if the proposed theme of the workshop is also interesting for people who do not fall within the age group 50+, they are also warmly welcomed.

First meeting from a cycle "I am a bit in Low Spirits by a Company of Pigeons"

will take place on 14 February, 15.30 – 17.00

at Galeria Arsenał in Białystok, ul. A. Mickiewicza 2

Activities schedule:

– visiting the exhibitions of Izabela Marcjan and Peter Böhnisch

– "My beautiful bag" workshop activities held by Aleksandra Czerniawska, a painter, graduate of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (obtained diploma in the studio run by Leon Tarasewicz)

Cotton bags have gained popularity through promotion of environmental behaviour as a multiple substitution of disposable plastic bags. Currently they are becoming an increasingly popular dress supplement.

The participants will create their own designs. The workshops will be a pretext to observe the relations that may occur between art, design and everyday life; and how these spheres of life intertwine and draw from each other.
